Our B&B in Tavel, France

September 06 2009 by Randy Martin

image754001612.jpgThis a picture of our lovely B&B, Jardin de Baccus, in Tavel, France. Tavel is a little southwest of Chateauneuf-du-Pape — where they produce the best wine in the world as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure I'll get an argument on this from all the Bordeaux lovers, but this is my opinion.

Today we are going to tour the Camargue. It's an interesting area of France, located in the south central part of France, on the Mediterian coast. This is where the French cowboys live. I know what you're thinking, French cowboys? Absolutely!

They also have wild horses and bull fights in the Camargue. Not the Spanish-type bullfights. I don't think they kill the bull in France. We're going to take a 4x4 tour of the area. I'll try and post pictures of the tour tonight, along with pictures of Villard de Lans and the wonderful medival town of La Poet Lavel.

Until then, may your wine glass never be empty…
